Political Attacking or Illegal Housekeeping?

Meg Whitman's former housekeeper tears up at press conference
Meg Whitman, the Republican candidate for California governor, is accused of knowingly employing an illegal immigrant for nine years. Whitman's former housekeeper, Nicandra Diaz-Santillan, says she feels "like she [is] being thrown away 'like a piece of garbage'," reported the L.A. Times. Whitman claims that false documents were provided when she hired Nicandra Diaz-Santillan and that the housekeeper was fired immediately when Whitman found out she was in the country illegally. Diaz-Santillan's flamboyant celebrity attorney, Gloria Allred, arranged the press conference to air on the gossip Web site TMZ.com. The New York Times supported claims that Ms. Diaz-Santillan's accusations are politically motivated and coincidental that Allred is involved. "You have never seen me, and I have never seen you," Diaz-Santillan claims that Whitman said this after she fired her. All three news sources have connected that Allred is a personal friend of Brown, Democratic candidate for Governor of California.
